Frequently Asked Questions
Pricing, group size, courses, what's handled, and how booking works. Don't see your question? Reach out — you'll hear back within a few hours.
How much does this cost?
Full-day experiences typically run $250–$400 per person, depending on group size, whether you want transportation included, number of days, and how much of the dining and extras you want us to handle. A two-person day looks different from a larger, multi-day group with more requirements.
Reach out with your dates, group size, and what you're picturing, and you'll have a real number within a few hours.
How many people can you host?
We host groups up to eight — small enough that every detail stays personal. Nobody's herded through a checklist, nobody's forgotten in the group of eight. Solo travelers and couples book just as often as bigger groups, and get the exact same level of care, planning, and surprises built into their day.
Do we have to golf?
No. Golf is the backbone, but if half your group doesn't play, they get their own custom San Diego day running at the same time — food, neighborhoods, hidden spots, the works. Everyone shows up to dinner with a story.
Which course will we play?
Whichever one's right for your group that week. Torrey Pines if that's the bucket list — we'll make it happen. But San Diego has over 80 courses, and the best round for your group is often somewhere nobody's heard of. Skill level, vibe, and what's actually in great shape that week all factor in.
What's actually included?
By default, we plan the entire day: someone in your corner from start to finish, transportation dialed in at whatever level you need — airport pickup only, or door-to-door service all day — the round itself, day-of logistics, dining at the restaurants locals actually go to, hidden gems matched to your group's interests, and a handful of moments built specifically for you that you didn't see coming and won't forget.
Every group has its own vision and requirements. Tell us how much you want on your plate — we'll take the rest. Once you're booked, our Local Knowledge quiz — a quick survey that tells us everything we need to know about you and what you're looking for — makes sure your day is built around exactly the right things.
What's the Local Knowledge Quiz?
Once you're booked, we send over a quick survey — a few minutes, nothing painful — that tells us everything we need to know about you and what you're looking for. Skill level, pace, what you like to eat, what kind of surprises land versus what falls flat, who's celebrating what. The more we know, the more the day feels built for you specifically, instead of built for “a group of golfers.”
It's the difference between a good day and the kind you're still talking about on the flight home.
What are the “surprises” everyone mentions?
We won't spoil them here — that's the point. But expect the day to include a few things you didn't see coming. Timed to the moment — the season, the tide, the light. Right place, right moment.
How far in advance should we book?
90 days+ gives us room to lock in the best tee times and reservations. Closer than that, still reach out — we'll make magic happen for you.
What if someone in our group doesn't drink, has dietary restrictions, or has a bad knee?
Tell us. Every detail of the day gets built around your actual group, not a generic itinerary. That's the whole idea.
Do you do corporate outings?
Yes — and they tend to be the ones people talk about for years afterward. We'll start with a quick conversation to understand what you're actually trying to accomplish. Purely entertaining clients? We'll make it fun and memorable. Running a leadership retreat? We'll build in the time and space for that to actually happen. Either way, you still get golf, great dining, and a day that doesn't feel like a corporate outing at all.
What happens if it rains?
San Diego weather rarely ruins a day, but if it does, we adjust on the fly. We're not handing you an itinerary and disappearing — we're in it with you, rain or shine.
Can we do more than one day?
Absolutely — most of our trips run two or three days, but a single day works just as well if that's what fits your schedule. Same care either way, start to finish.
Do you require a deposit? What's your cancellation policy?
Yes — a 50% deposit secures your date and locks in tee times and reservations. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your trip.
If your plans change, you'll get a full refund of your deposit if you cancel 14+ days out, a 50% refund of your deposit 7–13 days out, and the deposit is non-refundable inside 7 days. Advanced booking fees for tee times are non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing.
Green fees, excursions, and dining are paid by you directly at the time of service. Booking fees are paid in advance and included in your Local Knowledge package.
Still have a question?
